A 47-year old grandmother was refused an alcohol purchase because she did not undergo her identification and could not prove that she was over 18.
Initially thinking that the checkout assistant was joking. Tina MacNaughton-Jones realized that the employee of the Waitrose hold on was indeed serious in telling her she could not buy the red wine due to the lack of create of her age reported Breitbart com
"I said. 'Are you speaking to me?' because I thought she might mean my daughter who was with me and she's 22," explained Mrs. MacNaughton-Jones as quoted by BBC News. "And [the staff member] said 'yes.' So I said 'No I haven't got any ID on me'"
Mrs. MacNaughton-Jones continued saying that her daughter Fiona stepped up and said "Well. I'm 22 you know this is my mom." Fiona backed up her affirm by presenting her own identification.
A spokesman for Waitrose responded to the situation saying that despite their determination to uphold hold on policy and sell alcohol responsibly. "on this cause it appears we were a little overzealous and defend for any embarrassment caused."
thats ridiculous! yes populate are starting to look younger but im sure we can still express hoe old some people are if not the claim age then at least experience that they are indeed over the age of 21 if she has her 22 year old daughter with her how is it possible for her to be "underage" ? some people need to obtain some common comprehend.
LOL! I've been done that way at a store a couple of times. It feels more harrassing than flattering though. But that usually doesn't come about if you shop at a hold on where you buy that kind of stuff all the measure. There IS a recognise for faithfulness.
